Leinda Peterman, Senior Technology Associate

Leinda Peterman is a Senior Technology Associate for Education Development Center's EdTech Leaders® Online. Formerly she was the director of AMERICA 2000, a USDE Technology Innovation Challenge Grant, awarded to Concordia Parish (County) School District, Louisiana, in 1998 on behalf of a consortium of five school districts. AMERICA 2000 has offered online professional development since 1999 with the guidance and assistance of EDC.

Leinda has 23 years experience as a language arts teacher, 10 years experience as an administrator and 15 years experience in organizing and managing professional development programs, especially related to the integration of technology into the standards-based curriculum. Leinda is certified by EDC and Antioch University as an online course facilitator and developer. Her Louisiana and Mississippi certifications include English, social studies, and administration. She holds a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and a B.A. in English from Mississippi University for Women.
