Part 4: Explore the Number of Backers
  1. Make a new graph that lets you explore how many backers (people who pledged) projects had.
    1. Discuss:
      • How do the number of backers compare for successful and failed projects?
      • What do you notice?

  2. Make a graph to explore the relationship between the goals and amounts pledged.
  3. /
    1. Graph:
      • Make a scatterplot with Goal ($) on the x-axis and on the y-axis.
      • Try to select the projects that you think were successful based on where they are in the graph. Select the points that you think show successful projects. (Hold the shift key down to select multiple projects).
      •  Add a 3rd variable (Did it succeed?) to see how many successful projects you selected.
    1. Discuss:
      • How can you use this graph to identify successful projects?
