My students always have a lot of trouble with addition of fractions. While we try to create fractions bars with cut out pieces of paper, many of my students do not have the fine motor skills to cut out the pieces cleanly or line them up straight on their desks. The virtual manipulative fractions bars on the NLVM website would be a great addition to the lesson for the students who are unable to perform the task correctly on their own.

It kind of reminds of that old video game Tetris...when you had to line up all the blocks!
